Resident Evil 4 Remake came out a month ago and continued the story of Leon Kennedy, the rookie cop turned hardened US agent, but that still leaves Claire Redfield's chapter unfinished. She went to Raccoon City in search of her brother and narrowly escaped a nuke with two strangers. For newcomers to the series, the answer to 'Where's Chris?' hasn't come yet, and Claire actor Stephanie Panisello is with fans in wanting to see it answered in a Code Veronica remake.
"Any chance we get more of the world and tap into it, I think is special and important," Panisello told TheGamer. "I know that's a game that could probably use that extra TLC, so yes, of course, I would love to see it. It's just a matter of whether that's something fans want and if Capcom is able to do so. I don't partake in any of that. If they gave me the call and said, 'Hey, Stephanie, it's happening.' I would love it. Maybe one day - fingers crossed."

If, like me, Resident Evil 2 Remake was your introduction to the series, it might be confusing to jump into the later games where Chris is suddenly back in the picture with no explanation. Did Claire ever find him? You can pick up Code Veronica X on PlayStation and Xbox to find out, but as Panisello says, it's outdated. Going from a modern remake to an older game like CV where you have to press a button to use stairs is jarring, so for those newcomers, the answer is likely to remain hidden unless they go looking on wikis.
It's a mainline title in everything but name, continuing not only Claire and Chris' stories, but Albert Wesker's, and so for many, it's seen as an essential part of the puzzle in telling Resident Evil 5's story.
