Paradox Interactive's recent announcement show confirmed two more games for Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service that will be joining the lineup as day one titles in 2023. While Microsoft itself typically keeps the Xbox Game Pass focus on titles releasing within the next couple of weeks, release date announcements and the like give subscribers sneak peeks at titles that are coming throughout the year.
This way, Xbox Game Pass subscribers know about upcoming games well before their release date. For example, Xbox Game Pass subscribers knew well in advance that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty would be joining the service at the beginning of March. And even though it wasn't mentioned in Xbox's latest roundup of upcoming Game Pass games, subscribers know that MLB The Show 23 will be a day one release at the end of this month as well.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Confirms 6 More Games for March 2023
Now Xbox Game Pass subscribers have two more games to look forward to in 2023. Paradox Interactive has confirmed that both Cities: Skylines 2 and The Lamplighters League will be day one Xbox Game Pass games when they launch later this year. Specific release dates for these two games are unavailable at the time of this writing, but barring any delays, fans should have a lot more information in the months ahead.
For those unfamiliar with the games, The Lamplighters League is a turn-based tactics game inspired by 1930s pulp adventures. It has a very striking art style and looks like it will greatly appeal to fans of the turn-based tactics genre. The jury is still out on whether or not it will live up to expectations, but Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have the chance to find out through their subscription fee at some point later this year.
