Sonic Frontiers managed to beat God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West to win a major Japanese gaming award.
This is a huge victory for the Sonic Frontiers. Last year, the open-zone adventure was in the running for winning the Player's Voice award at The Game Awards 2022, with candidates including Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarok, and Genshin Impact among others.
Despite strong support for Frontiers, Genshin Impact won. The ceremony was held earlier this week, announcing the winners based on user votes. The action-adventure category consisted of Sonic Frontiers, God of War Ragnarok, and Horizon Forbidden West as the nominated games, with Frontiers managing to beat the other two for the award.
