Sonic Origins Plus Update Could Include All 12 Game Gear Titles And Playable Amy

Fans of classic Sonic games were given a reason to get excited about what might be to come from Sega last month as the Korean rating board appeared to reveal the existence of Sonic Origins Plus. Presumably an update for the collection of original Sonic games that launched last year, and now it appears the first details regarding what to expect from the still unannounced collection have inadvertently been revealed.

ComicBook.com shared a lot of details regarding what will apparently be included with Plus, although it appears the site may have jumped the gun as the article has since been removed. GoNintendo saw the details before the page was taken down, revealing that the report claims Plus will be both an update and a standalone game that includes all 12 of Sonic's Game Gear titles plus a playable Amy in Sonics 1, 2, 3, and CD.

Also on the list of reported Plus extras is a playable Knuckles in Sonic CD, all of the paid DLC that was available with the original game, and a 20-page artbook with its physical release. Notable if accurate since Sonic Origins was only released digitally when it launched last year, marking the first time the collection will be available physically.

If you want a physical copy of Origins Plus, the beefed-up version of the collection will reportedly cost $39.99.If you're not bothered about owning a physical copy and you already own Origins, you'll apparently be able to opt for an update rather than paying for the same game all over again.
