The latest game from the creator of Kerbal Space Program has been announced.
Kitbash Model Club is the brainchild of Felipe Falanghe, who was the creator and lead developer of the popular space flight sim.
Falanghe left Squad, the studio behind Kerbal Space Program, back in 2016, roughly five years after the game’s first public release. He went on to found a new studio, Floating Origin Interactive, and started work on a new game called Balsa Model Flight Simulator.
That game has now been renamed Kitbash Model Club, and is set for release on PC later this year.
The game is set on an island called Wirraway, which consists of a number of environments including a city, beaches, fields and highways.
Players can create their own RC model vehicles and test them in these environments, or challenge friends to an RC dogfight.
In a statement, Falange said: “Kitbash Model Club is a game I have always dreamed of making, ever since I was a kid.
“RC models are something I have been fascinated by. I used to spend hours building balsa wood airplane models and inventing things. Creating questionably-engineered contraptions is something I’ve always had in me.”
Kitbash Model Club will be published by Curve Games, the publisher previously responsible for releasing such critically acclaimed indie titles as Human Fall Flat, The Ascent and Bomber Crew.
The game will be available on PC later this year, and players can currently wishlist it on Steam.
