Resident Evil 4 has been out in the wild for a little while now, long enough for some more obscure bugs to rear their ugly heads. Case in point, Capcom has warned players of one such edge case, which can prevent players from progressing further into the game.
With sympathy to spoilers, we will remain vague on the exact particulars, but all you need to know is this: after the cutscene at the beginning of Chapter 12, you will be given a key item. Do not attack with the knife until the notification for obtaining the item has been displayed in the upper right of the screen. Thats it!
Getting too stab-happy will prevent players from being able to advance, which is obviously not ideal. Capcom says that a fix is on the way, and the issue will be resolved with a future update. We can't imagine that a majority of players are just slashing indiscriminately straight out of a cutscene, but then again, we've been surprised before.
In other Resi 4 news, abuse from internet goblins has caused Lily Gao, the voice of Ada Wong, to deactivate her Instagram account, and Capcom announced that the title shipped more than three million copies in just two short days.
What do you think of this incredibly specific game-breaking bug in Resident Evil 4? Did you encounter it, unable to stop stabbing for even a second? Seek professional help in the comments section below.
