Riot Games, the company behind Valorant and League of Legends, has sent a gift package to the popular Twitch streamer Kyedae. The surprise package comes as a heartfelt gesture to the Twitch steamer who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
Kyedae is a skilled Valorant player and streamer who lives in Canada. She started streaming back in 2016 and has increased her fanbase significantly in recent years due to her high-quality content. This month, she announced to the world that she was suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which is a type of cancer in the bone marrow. At first, Kyedae kept her cancer diagnosis hidden even from her boyfriend TenZ and her parents. However, as time passed, she opened up about the situation, as it was very stressful to keep it all to herself. Still, she’s committed to continuing her streams during the treatment for as long as she’s physically able to.

Now, theTwitch streamer received a surprise gift from the creators of Valorant. The package contained some figurines, Valorant merchandise, and letters from the developers. In the video, it’s possible to see Kyedae’s reaction to the gifts. She starts by reading one of the letters and showing some of the gifts that were received. Then, when Kyedae begins to read the second letter, she gets emotional and is not able to finish it.
According to Kyedae,playing Valorant helped to deal with cancer jokes from harassers on the internet. It's a way to escape the stress caused by the illness and avoid the people who are being abusive to her online, which has increased in frequency after the cancer diagnosis. She said that by playing Valorant for around eight hours every day, she can focus on her work
