While Sony’s line-up for the rest of the year is still in flux, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games is confirmed for Fall 2023. If the previous games, which have collectively sold over 33 million as of May 2022, are any indication, it should be a huge hit. Though several things about it are unknown, lead engine programmer Elan Ruskin did provide an interesting new tidbit.
During Insomniac Games’ recent livestream, Ruskin confirmed that the studio’s next game would have some “very cool dialogue technology.” Its next game isMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, but it’s possible that this technology also manifests in Marvel’s Wolverine.
Of course, what this dialogue technology could be, and how it affects the story is anyone’s guess. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months (especially with Sony rumored to hold a showcase in June). Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 doesn’t have a release date beyond its Fall window, but Insomniac is confident about this year and touts the game as “massive.”
