The latest installment of Insomniac’s well-received Spider-Man series is set to swing onto the PlayStation 5 later this year, with Venom voice actor Tony Todd hinting that it could release in September, though it should also be noted that he has since attempted to downplay this reveal.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will pick up where 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales left off, with Peter Parker and Miles Morales working together to protect the open-world landscape of New York City from various criminals and supervillains. This time, the threat comes from the monstrous Venom, whose presence was hinted at during the previous two games before his official debut in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Kraven the Hunter has also been confirmed, and past rumors have suggested villains like the Lizard, Mysterio, and the Sin-Eater could also appear.
