A product description for the newly unveiled Spider-Man 2 Miles Morales figures reportedly makes mention of the multiverse, possibly hinting that the Spider-Verse will play a role in the game.
Even though we already know the release window for Spider-Man 2 (and possibly even a release month thanks to Tony Todd), Insomniac has been tight-lipped about what Peter and Miles' next adventure is all about. According to CBR, who got exclusive early access to the figure, the product description for this version of Miles Morales mentions that he's the "newest Spider-Man" and that he "discovers allies and enemies across the multiverse - and at home in New York". Considering Insomniac's Spider-Man games have never mentioned the multiverse, it's an interesting thing to mention on the back of the box and could indicate that's about to change for the sequel.
The mention of a multiverse could also just be a cheeky reference to the fact that elements of Insomniac's Spider-Man have appeared in other Spider-Man media, such as the Advanced Suit appearing in Into the Spider-Verse and Insomniac's Spider-Man set to make an appearance in Across the Spider-Verse.
It could also simply be a mistake on Hasbro's part and a mix-up of this version of Miles Morales and another. That doesn't seem likely, though, as the rest of the description matches the version of Miles from Insomniac's version of the character. We'll have to wait and see when we get a full reveal of what Spider-Man 2 has in store.
