The second official trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has swung in, and like the teaser before it, it's a showcase of Spider-Men from across the Marvel Multiverse, a brewing civil war, and Miles on the run from the Spider-Man of 2099, Miguel O'Hara.
Picking up shortly after the first film, Into the Spider-Verse reunites Miles with Gwen Stacy, but after being introduced to a team of Spider-People charged with protecting the very existence of the Multiverse, Miles finds himself at odds against the other Spiders and he must redefine what it means to be a hero if he wants to protect the people that he loves the most.
This new trailer also has a few other surprises, such as Peter B. Parker introducing his superpowered daughter Mayday Parker, lots of Spider-pointing, and at least one Scarlet Spider cameo that looks like it was personally drawn by iconic Spider-Man artist Mark Bagley. Writer and producer Chris Miller previously mentioned that the film will have at least five different universes with 240 characters in Across the Spider-Verse, and tonally, the movie is described as The Empire Strikes Back of the Spider-Verse trilogy.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse premieres on June 2, and once again stars the voices of Shameik Moore (Miles Morales), Hailee Steinfeld (Gwen Stacy), Jake Johnson (Peter B. Parker), Brian Tyree Henry (Jefferson Davis), and Luna Lauren Velez (Rio Morales).
You'll also be hearing the voices of Oscar Isaac (Spider-Man 2099), Issa Rae (Spider-Woman), and Daniel Kaluuya (Spider-Punk) as some of the many Spider-People in this film, while the rogues' gallery includes Jorma Taccone as The Vulture and Jason Schwartzman as The Spot.
