As April approaches, Netflix is gearing up to announce a lineup of new content. Subscribers can expect to see a range of fresh TV series and films, with some titles scheduled to debut as early as April 1, while others will be added throughout the month.
On April 26, Sweet Tooth returns for Season 2. Based on the DC comic with the same name, the next batch of episodes finds humanity in the face of a new wave of illness. A hybrid deer-boy named Gus and other hybrid children are held captive by General Abbot and the Last Men, who are seeking a cure by experimenting on them. Based on a synopsis, in Season 2 Gus agrees to help Dr. Singh, who is working on a cure for his infected wife Rani. Meanwhile, outside the Preserve, Tommy Jepperd and Aimee Eden team up to rescue the hybrids, but Jepperd's secrets threaten their partnership. As past revelations threaten redemption, Gus and his found family face off against Abbot and his forces.
On April 18, Netflix subscribers without AMC will finally gain access to Season 6 of Better Call Saul. Picking up from where Season 5 left off, the show comes to a close as it centers on the events of four years before Jimmy McGill's involvement with Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. The season follows Jimmy's transformation into his criminal defense lawyer persona, Saul Goodman, and his plan with Kim Wexler to ruin the career of Howard Hamlin to resolve the Sandpiper case. Saul must juggle all that, while also getting roped into blowback from the drug cartel's response to the assassination attempt on Lalo Salamanca. In the remaining episodes, also set in 2010 after Breaking Bad, Saul lives in Omaha, Nebraska under the name Gene Takavic, hiding from the authorities following Walter's demise.
