Naughty Dog has detailed some of the features included in the PC version of The Last of Us Part 1.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, it was confirmed that the upcoming port will include numerous settings designed for PC players to get the most out of the game.
These will include support for 21:9 Ultrawide and 32:9 Super Ultrawide aspect ratios.
It will also feature support for the DualSense controller (via a wired connection) so that players can make use of the same haptic feedback and dynamic trigger functionality featured in the PS5 version.
“This version of The Last of Us Part 1 is optimised for PC with PC-centric quality-of-life enhancements,” the blog post explains.
“Part I will feature AMD FSR 2.2 support, Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution support, VSync and frame rate cap options, and a host of features designed specifically for PC, including adjustable Texture Quality, Shadows, Reflections, Ambient Occlusion, and more.”
Some of these features will seemingly require top-tier specs, however, as Naughty Dog has also confirmed that the game will need 32GB of RAM to run some of its higher settings.
In order to reach 60fps at 1440p on the game’s high preset settings, it’s suggested that players will need 32GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6750XT or better.
Meanwhile, to hit 60fps at 4K on Ultra settings, players have been advised to have 32 GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, an AMD RX 7900XT or better.
Last month, Sony delayed the PC release of The Last of Us Part 1 from March 3 to March 28.
“These additional few weeks will allow us to ensure this version of The Last of Us lives up to your, and our, standards,” Naughty Dog explained at the time.
