Almost a decade on from the launch of GTA 5, GTA Online continues to get pretty extensive DLC. The additional story content wagon rolled on this week as The Last Dose became available for Online players, and hidden within it is a GTA 3 easter egg that hasn't been mentioned since San Andreas.
Grand Theft Lore always puts in a massive amount of work when it comes to discovering links between GTA games, and they've found some new ones in The Last Dose. The most fun one may well be the Supa Save mention. Just reading the name of that fictional supermarket chain may well have unlocked a memory for you as it was a store you would have driven past multiple times playing GTA 3 and San Andreas.

While the chain hasn't returned and opened a new location in Los Santos, Dax name drops Supa Save during the Checking In mission. He suggests a contact of his can create a “Supa Save version” of their acid. Comparisons to be drawn between that conversation and anytime someone tried to make budget versions of Walt and Jesse's blue meth in Breaking Bad.
Spoilers for the end of that same Checking In mission if you're planning to play the DLC, its ending also marks a first for GTA since the original game which launched more than 25 years ago. The protagonist has to be “wasted” for the mission to end, the first time that has been a necessity since the Heist Almighty – Itali mission in the very first GTA game.
