A potential leak of 's new Vice City map has been shared online, and fans have been quick to compare it to its predecessor: 's Los Santos. Los Santos was an impressively large map, offering different environments with cities, hilly landscapes, beaches, and a more desert-type area for players to explore in both 's story mode and the hugely successful multiplayer.
It had previously been reported that would be returning to Rockstar's fictional version of Miami, which was last seen in the «3D era» with 2002's and 2006's. These reports were then confirmed when several leaked gameplay videos of showed the title's new Bonnie and Clyde-esque duo, Lucia and Jason committing a variety of crimes across Vice City, with the setting now resembling a modern time period rather than the 80s aesthetic of the previous Miami-set titles.

Reddit user, tusstaster took to the subreddit with a comparison of a leaked map and 's map, using Rockstar's RAGE Engine's units to put the two maps side by side at the same scale. It's clear at a first glance that 's Vice City is going to be larger than the entirety of 's Los Santos if the leak is true, but not by much as 's Miami-based location has more water breaking up the land. This may be disappointing for those expecting a much larger map for the upcoming title, but unlike Los Santos, which appears as more of an island, the new Vice City's map also seems to have room to expand northward, with land continuing off the top of the map.
