The latest entry in the Dead Space franchise has just received another patch. While modern games are expected to run smoothly on launch, the wonders of technology allow developers to fix any present errors or issues even after a title's release via patches. Dead Space is no different, as Motive Studio will be releasing updates to address any bugs that are still in-game.
Dead Space released to positive reviews on January 27, 2023. The game, a remake of the 2008 title of the same name, is a survival-horror action third-person shooter that improves on the original and updates features for modern consoles. It still stars Isaac Clarke as in the original and roughly follows the same concept and storyline but with a few updates and changes inserted. The remake also includes a new alternate ending which can be obtained via the New Game Plus mode.

Update 1.005 for Dead Space is now available. The patch itself isn't highly significant in nature but does fix some small bugs present from the launch. New Steam Deck improvements and the enabling of HDR10+ are just some of the new features the patch will include, along with other visual concerns. Access to previous suit visuals is also now available in Dead Space thanks to the update.
Unfortunately, the Dead Space bug that makes the Hunter more difficult to deal with has not yet been addressed in this patch. Hopefully, that one will be fixed in a future patch since some people will have a hard time if it's encountered.
