One Assassin’s Creed fan recently showed off their dedication to the franchise by recreating screenshots from the series in real life. During their visit to France and Italy, this fan matched iconic locations from multiple Assassin's Creed games to their real-life counterparts.
Famous-BlueRaincoat was the Assassin’s Creed fan responsible for taking these clever pictures. They recently posted their collage of comparison screenshots on the Assassin’s Creed subreddit, which showcased their recreations of scenes from Unity and Brotherhood.

From Assassin’s Creed Unity, Famous-BlueRaincoat took pictures in front of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris, France. During a visit to Rome, Italy, Famous-BlueRaincoat also took pictures in front of the Arch of Constantine, Coliseum, and Castel Sant’Angelo found in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. They also visited the Pantheon and took interior shots of the Oculus and the Temple of All Martyrs within it. Famous-BlueRaincoat even included themselves wearing a hood in shots where the Assassin's Creed player characters Ezio or Arno were visible. When placed side-by-side with their video game counterparts, one can barely tell the difference.
Despite being a game full of mystical artifacts, ancient secrets, and precursor races, the overworld of Assassin’s Creed is lauded for its historical accuracy. Though it gets fast and loose with some of its lore, Assassin’s Creed does an excellent job of recreating famous landmarks.
