Monsters & Memories is sharing some stats and reflecting on its recent playtest. The devs told players to just have fun and don’t worry about reporting bugs, in order to get a feel for how players will impact the infrastructure and gather data.
According to the team, in a new post shared today on Discord in the 34-hour play test that took place on December 9th and December 10th, they had 2,937 players join the game. This was equivalent of 2.74 years of playtime (and data) in the classic MMORPG inspired game. That's definitely a lot of data they can work with, and they plan on sharing more stats soon.
Some of what they did share include that one player reached level 16 and was created during the test, in Hardcore, and survived all the way to the end. That's quite an achievement and that honor belongs to a player named erho.
Two players made it to 15, but something cut their play experience short before they made it to the end. Five players made it to 14, and three hit 13. As for the levels 10 and above, 44 made it to 10, 32 made it to 11, and 19 made it to 12.
There is a disclaimer that due to an experienced bug that popped up during the test the in-game level might have looked different than what the final result was. These final numbers reflect the post-fix build. It does show there’s interest in the game, and the devs have a couple of years’ worth of data to work with until the next test.
