A recent new addition to the DLC section for Elden Ring on SteamDB might hint at imminent Shadow of the Erdtree news.
As spotted by X user 'Burh', developer FromSoftware added a new "unknown" application to the DLC subsection of Elden Ring. The new app was added on January 10. Other changes to Elden Ring on SteamDB were made on January 11 as well, but these are related to last week's 1.10.1 patch for Steam - this patch updated the Easy Anti Cheat Service to support the new Steam OS. We've included a screenshot with the new "unknown application" in the DLC section below.
This new application might very well be related to the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, which is said to launch next month - two year's after the game's launch. Of course, this could be something else entirely as well, but we'll update you as soon as we learn more about Elden Ring and the game's first expansion.
Elden Ring is available worldwide now for PC and consoles. Here's what we wrote about FromSoftware's masterpiece in our launch review back in February of 2022:
