Rumor: Elden Ring DLC Reveal Could Be Happening Soon
Bandai Namco has recently updated the Elden Ring playlists for its various YouTube channels, leading some to believe that the big reveal trailer for the game's highly-anticipated Shadow of the Erdtree DLC could be happening soon. Elden Ring has been a massive success for FromSoftware and Bandai Namco, smashing records and establishing itself as one of the highest-rated video games of all time.
Considering the dizzying popularity of Elden Ring, it's no surprise that many fans have been looking forward to the game's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. FromSoftware is known for releasing high-quality DLC expansions for its games, and so many expected the same from Elden Ring long before any DLC was ever announced for it. Unfortunately for fans, very little has been revealed about the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC since its initial announcement.
Thankfully, it looks like that could change soon. As spotted by Ziostorm on Twitter, Bandai Namco recently updated its Elden Ring YouTube playlists. With no new videos visible, this has fueled speculation that an Elden Ring DLC reveal trailer could have been added as a private, unlisted video and the publisher is just waiting for a specific day to release it to the masses. Of course, it's entirely possible that these YouTube playlist updates are completely unrelated to the upcoming Elden Ring DLC, and so fans should keep their expectations in check.
Rumors have been swirling about the Elden Ring DLC being released in the near future, so it would make sense for Bandai Namco to release a trailer. Various leaks have pointed to the Elden Ring DLC launching in February 2024 to coincide with the open world game's 2-year anniversary, but it remains to be seen if that will actually come to pass. Instead of the Elden Ring DLC dropping in February, it could be that the trailer is released in February and fans have to wait until a later date to get their hands on the expansion.
