A talented Elden Ring modder has added Kingdom Hearts' Sora into the game, complete with equippable Keyblades and voice clips from Kingdom Hearts 3.
Just a few weeks ago, Nexus Mods user iwtexplode released a mod that adds Kingdom Hearts' Kairi to the game as a playable character and finally dismisses the popular fan notion that she's useless and doesn't do much to help... by having her make up for it in another game altogether. Of course, Sora's reputation doesn't need any saving, but that hasn't stopped iwtexplode from updating the mod to add him in as well.
Over on Twitter, KHVidsNET shared a trailer for the mod's update that was also released by the channel on YouTube. The trailer shows off everyone's favourite Keyblade wielder (but not Master, somehow) exploring the Lands Between and making short work of enemies using the Kingdom Key. Sora's gameplay seems very similar to Kairi, so don't go expecting too many differences between the pair.
One thing that is different about Sora, though, is that the mod uses a ton of voice clips from Kingdom Hearts 3 while playing as him, which is a neat touch. Beyond that, the mod also promises that two new Keyblade variants have been added to the game alongside the mod, although it's not clear which ones as Sora is shown using Oathkeeper and Oblivion like Kairi did in the trailer for the last update to the mod.
In the Nexus Mods description for the mod's update, iwtexplode notes that Sora has been added as a playable character that acts as a new starting class called "Keyblade's Chosen". After selecting this class, choosing Body Type A will let the player control Sora instead of Kairi, although it seems like they have the same stats and playstyle.
The trailer doesn't make it clear whether Sora can equip other weapons and pieces of armour like Kairi can, but it seems likely that's the case since it was possible in the last version of the mod.
Although Sora looks plenty different from Kairi as it is, if you want to get even more
