Following on from this week’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 previews and a Capcom Highlights stream, Capcom has released a Dragon’s Dogma 2 Character Creator & Storage tool, which is available now across PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
If you want to grab it, then here’s the links you need:
The Character Creator lets you fiddle with all the settings to craft your main Arisen character and the Main Pawn – an AI companion that will accompany you through the game. You’ll be able to create five designs, which will then be transferred to the full game when it launches later this month.
Sadly the rumours of a Dragon’s Dogma 2 demo were somewhat oversold in the last few weeks, which is not terribly surprising given the open world nature of the game. At least this will let you play with character designs and make your ideal cat person.
It’s thankfully not that long before fans of the original and newcomers alike will be able to dive into the long-awaited sequel. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is out on 22nd March, so there’s just a couple weeks left to wait. We’ve been hands on with a preview build of the game, though, with Jason coming away rather impressed by its visuals, the tone of the gameplay, and the intriguing use of more old school game design ideas.
In our preview, he said, “Given how large even the small part of the world I explored was, and how in-depth it was, with caves weaving in and out of hills, rivers flowing around past stones you can clamber over, and plenty of impromptu quests and battles to take part in, I’ve no doubts that Dragon’s Dogma 2 is going to feel like a true epic. I’m excited about it, but I’m a little nervous too.”
