New gameplay footage showing the Unreal Engine 5-powered first-person shooter Instinction was shared online, providing the first proper look at the game.
The footage, shared by developer Hashbane Interactive, focuses on the first few minutes of the game and, as such, doesn't show a whole lot of gameplay. The game, however, looks stunning, taking full advantage of the Unreal Engine 5 to increase lighting and model quality over current games.
This video is only the first one of the three the Instinction development team will share to show off their Unreal Engine 5-powered game. The next will showcase combat against humans and dinosaurs, three weapons, and some unique mechanics. The third and final video will show destruction, swimming, and more. More information on the game, whose Alpha access will begin later this year with a full launch scheduled for late 2025, can be found on its official website. UE5 is setting out to be the engine that will power most titles coming in the future. Last week, it was confirmed that SMITE 2, the sequel to the popular MOBA, will be powered by Epic's engine, which will allow developer Hi-Rez to make a proper next-gen game. The first taste of this next-gen MOBA will come this Spring.
More information on the Unreal Engine 5 can be found on its official website.
