Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 announced that its first DLC character, Mr. Krabs, will be added to the game on February 15. Much like its predecessor, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2's character roster is filled with iconic characters from popular Nickelodeon animated shows. It features a wide cast, with representation from nostalgic cartoons of the '90s to Nickelodeon's modern shows, like Hey Arnold, Danny Phantom, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and more.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2's announced DLC characters are Rocksteady from TMNT, Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob SquarePants, and Zuko and Uncle Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender. An official release date for Mr. Krabs was revealed in a new All-Star Brawl 2 trailer, which also showcased the character's gameplay.
The trailer confirmed that Mr. Krabs will be added to the game on February 15. Mr. Krabs uses a variety of attacks that are based on classic episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants. For example, one of his attack strings is based on the time he used an undead swordfish's head as a sword, from the episode «One Krab's Trash.» Other references to the show include his Super Attack, where Krabs captures his opponent on a fishing line and holds him up to be eaten by the giant Clam that ate his millionth dollar, playing the world's smallest violin as a taunt, or his throw being animated similarly to when he threw a patron out of the Krusty Krab.
Mr. Krabs also has attacks that are based on his overwhelming greed, such as one where he picks up money off the ground and collides with other fighters, an attack that has him digging up a gold bar, and a midair attack that has him smacking his opponents with a giant bag of money. The trailer also shows off some of Mr. Krabs' alternate costumes in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, with players being able to dress Mr. Krabs in his classic attire, his conductor's outfit, his Captain Tightwad costume, and his exercise outfit.
Mr. Krabs can be bought as a standalone
