WWE 2K24 has implemented a hotfix that solved a frustrating issue affecting many Steam users who pre-ordered the game. Additionally, WWE 2K24 just received one of its first updates after releasing on March 8.
The recent WWE 2K24 update mostly focused on issues pointed out during the game's early access period, which began on March 5 for those who pre-ordered one of the digital deluxe editions. The fixes addressed Community Creation crashes, problems with Chyna's hair, and more. Also, the new update made improvements to online War Games, Create-a-Superstar, Create-an-Arena, and more. However, following the update, many PC users were introduced to a frustrating new issue.

The message said that if users don't re-download the content, then the data will need to be overwritten to continue, and if users do re-download the content, then all save data will be lost. Many users who either didn't read the full message or just didn't heed its warning chose to re-download the DLC content, leading to all of their save data being deleted. Thankfully, developer Visual Concepts promptly released a hotfix for WWE 2K24 to remove this issue, but many users were affected while the bug was still live on the morning of March 8.
Players who lost their save data have not had it restored, and one user reported that 2K support explained that the data is permanently gone. However, some affected users reported that they have retained some, but not all, of their previous save data. On the bright side, at least this issue arose in the early days of WWE 2K24's lifespan and didn't wipe out weeks or months of progress. As for the rest of the game's lifespan, WWE 2K24 has already revealed all of the Superstars coming to the game.
The future additions include popular wrestlers
