On the floor is a dead NPC, marked “Fallen Bhaalspawn.” The user noticed that the dead character was a white dragonborn, much like the default Dark Urge in Baldur’s Gate 3. This led them to an interesting theory that seems to have some evidence — this is the ultimate fate of the version of the Dark Urge that isn’t infected with the tadpole at the start of the game.
Other users in the thread confirmed that it does appear to be the Dark Urge, as the corpse doesn’t appear for players who choose to play as this Origin character. It was also revealed by some users that the Fallen Bhaalspawn will not respond if Speak with Dead is cast on their corpse, only adding to the mystery further. Baldur’s Gate 3 has plenty of hidden secrets in Act 3, but this is certainly one of the most well-hidden, with most missing it throughout their playthroughs of the game.
