One prominent Persona leaker has made a claim that multiple upcoming games from Sega and its subsidiary Atlus will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. While the leaker hasn't named any of these titles specifically and Nintendo hasn't even officially confirmed the Switch 2's existence, some sources believe this could mean more Persona remakes will make their way to the console.
Following the port of Persona 4 Golden to modern consoles in early 2023 and the release of remake Persona 3 Reload in February 2024, there have been plenty of rumors about Persona 1 and 2 getting remakes as well. There have also been rumors swirling for months providing details about Persona 6, although that game has yet to be announced.
The new rumors surrounding Sega and Atlus games coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 come from the Twitter account of Midori, a well-known figure in the Persona online community. Midori has leaked Sega and Persona-related news in the past, having successfully and accurately shared information about Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactics ahead of any official announcements about those games. Replying to a tweet from another account that claimed Sega's upcoming Jet Set Radio game will be a full remake, Midori on April 29 backed up that claim before adding that «Every Atlus and Sega remake is also releasing on Switch 2.» While somewhat vague, this statement had led some sources like Comicbook to the conclusion that the rumored remakes of the first two Persona games along with the five classic titles Sega announced revivals for at The Game Awards 2023 will all be released for the Switch 2.
If this rumor turns out to be true, that would make seven classic Sega games making their return on the Switch 2. Among Midori's claims about the upcoming Sega titles are the rumor that Jet Set Radio will receive a full remake planned for 2026 in addition to a remaster of the original game at an unspecified date, which are consistent with rumors that Midori leaked in February.
