This mechanic is condensation, something fundamental for Palworld players to create stronger teams and increase their Partner Skill level, something important for the late game. To condense a Pal, Palworld players must sacrifice Pals of the same species, resulting in a base Pal with a blue star indicating that the condensation has successfully happened. Every Pal used in condensation is lost forever, so there are Pals that optimize condensation, resulting in better stats. Condensing Pals is quite an expensive process, but after the latest update, Palworld has finally addressed player feedback on this aspect.
Palworld has added partial condensation in update v0.2.0.6, and players of the open-world survival game are showing their love for the quality-of-life tweak. Reddit user silver-potato-kebab- is one of these players, who posted a video showing how partial condensation works by condensing several Nox Pal Essences. They start condensing 11 Pal essences of the night exclusive Pal, and at one point in the video, the player points out that although the condensation step requires 16 essences, they manage to use the six essences they had, making a successful partial condensation.
