Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to the addition of two more games coming this year in the form of Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2and Lords of the Fallen. It's been a big couple of weeks for Xbox Game Pass users, as last year's hit action adventure masterpiece Star Wars Jedi: Survivor just recently landed on the Ultimate tier of the service. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons populate Game Pass' May calendar, all leading up to the long-awaited release of Ninja Theory's Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 on the 21st.
Developed and published by CI Games and released in the Summer of 2021, Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, while not hugely popular, received praise from fans and critics for its engaging first-person sniper gameplay. It followed up its 2019 predecessor Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts, which shifted from the series' open world design to an open-ended mission-based structure, akin to the popular Hitman games. More recently, CI Games' Lords of the Fallen was released to more of a lukewarm reception, as it suffered from many bugs and lacked polish at launch. It's since been patched up and has received its final Master of Fate content update.
Now, in a Polish report on Bankier.pl, CI Games has confirmed the recent rumors of Lords of the Fallen and Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 landing on Game Pass at some point this year. The report states that the agreement was signed with Xbox just a few days ago, on May 3. This is a huge deal for fans of Soulslike games who have been waiting for a sale to jump into Lords of the Fallen. Additionally, this is a great move by CI Games to get more eyes on its lesser-known Sniper franchise.
While both games are now confirmed to arrive on Xbox Game Pass at some point in 2024, CI Games' document made no mention of a targeted timeframe for release.
