Xbox Game Pass members can now play Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition as part of their subscription. This is the first title to reach Microsoft's gaming service in May 2024, as well as the 59th new Xbox Game Pass addition since the turn of the year.
While Square Enix's Tomb RaiderSurvivor trilogy has been fairly consistent at maintaining quality, its first entry is still considered to be the cream of the crop, ratings-wise. Specifically, the 2013 game's Metacritic Metascores range from 86 to 87, depending on the platform, with the Tomb Raider reboot also boasting over 142,000 «Overwhelmingly Positive» user reviews on Steam.
Starting May 2, the critically acclaimed title is now once again available on Xbox Game Pass for the first time since January 2020. Unlike its initial stint on the service, this returning version of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is no longer exclusive to consoles, but also available via PC Game Pass. The semi-open-world action adventure is likely to remain on Xbox Game Pass for at least a year, which is how long its previous run lasted.
