Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software data for Japan for the week of May 20, 2024 to May 26, 2024.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for Switch was the highest selling new release last week, moving a total of 115,649 retail copies.
The second highest selling new release was the Switch version of Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, which opened at 5,711 retail copies sold. The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions did not chart in the top 10.
On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 48,032 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 23,368 units, the Xbox Series family sold 2,099 units, and the PlayStation 4 family sold 131 units.
