An Exclusive Battle Damaged Wolverine Funko Pop! Is Being Released Today
Up until very recently, it has felt like the X-Men were lying dormant. Right up there alongside Spider-Man for a while during the early 2000s, Marvel's resident mutants have been overlooked for a while due to them not being included in the MCU. That all changes this summer via Deadpool & Wolverine, and thanks to the combination of that movie and X-Men '97, the X-Men are back, and yet another Wolverine Funko Pop! to celebrate that is being released today.
Different fans will give you different answers when asked who the most famous member of the X-Men is, but a straw poll will almost certainly end with Wolverine on top. Wolverine will usher in what will be an X-Men-heavy era in the MCU when Hugh Jackman reprises the role alongside Deadpool in July, and the two of them already have Funko Pops based on their likenesses in the movie. Now Wolverine has yet another figure that has been made to look like the most famous member of the X-Men has been locked in a brutal battle.
One of Wolverine's superpowers is the ability to heal himself, making the mutant almost invincible. However, his outfit doesn't share those powers. When Wolverine's clothes get damaged and torn, while the body beneath is capable of patching itself up, the clothes are not. The new Pop!, which is exclusive to the Funko store and will be available to buy from 12:30 pm EST today (Monday, May 6, 2024) through the link below, shows a battle-damaged Wolverine, half his mask ripped off by whatever formidable foe he's up against.
Created to celebrate 50 years of Wolverine in the Marvel comics, this battle-damaged version of the iconic member of the X-Men has Wolverine with his claws out, half his mask missing due to whatever fight he is currently engaged in.
The figure even has a couple of scratches, by design, so whoever it is that has done this to Wolverine is quite something. The Wolverine Pop! has its claws out and one of its arms brandished though, ready to keep going until whatever enemy it's up
