We’re in a golden age of game preservation, with many retro titles getting unexpected PS Store revivals, and the latest to receive said treatment in Rider’s Spirits from Ratalaika. Previously only available in Japan for Super Famicom, the title will be available to download from the PS Store on PS5 and PS4 from 7th June.
“Play head-to-head against the computer or locally with a friend and compete in a wide variety of racing tracks and game modes,” the press release reads. “Choose from an array of wacky racers, each with their own unique attributes, and show off your riding skills. And if things get ugly, use all kind of crazy items in order to get advantage and be the first one to cross the finishing line!”
It’s really neat to see more games like this made readily available globally, and while we have no real connection or nostalgia for Rider’s Spirits considering it only ever released in Japan, we’re eager to take it for a spin next month and see what it’s all about.
