Coppers the Kobold - New Vendor Pet in The War Within
One of the newest additions to The War Within Beta is an interesting new pet — It cannot battle, but it serves as a vendor that can repair your gear! Learn how to obtain Coppers the Kobold in this post.
To obtain Coppers the Kobold, you must act like a Kobold and be obsessed with Wax! Once you reach Renown 2 with the The Assembly of the Deeps to earn the Every Day I'm Snuffling I trait, which allows you to interact with Disturbed Earth, piles of earth treasures located all around Khaz Algar. Interacting with a pile of Disturbed Earth will start a quick event — Could be hordes of mobs spawning, a rare, or even just a mound of wax for you to loot, which will grant some treasure loot, but the important thing you want from these is Odd Glob of Wax.

Odd Glob of Wax can be turned in to Middles in Gundargaz, in the Ringing Deeps.
You can contribute 5 Odd Globs of Wax at a time. There are 2 bars when turning in wax to Middles, one that shows contributions from your server as a whole, and one that shows your personal contribution.
Contribute Wax to Middles! He needs it!
Once you've done 10 contributions, or contributed a total of 50 Odd Glob of Wax, the NPC next to Middles, Gnawbles, will offer the quest Thanks for the Wax, which will give you 1 Firelight Ruby, This is the currency we're looking for!
Firelight Rubies are accepted by Scritchscratch, a vendor NPC next to Middles and Gnawbles. Scritchscratch sells several goodies that cost 1 Firelight Ruby, from bundles that grant Gold, profession materials and The War Within currency, but the one thing we're looking for is the pet Coppers the Kobold.
Coppers seems like a pretty meh pet at first — It can't even battle (hence why we call him a Companion Pet rather than a Battle Pet), but you'll see his significance once you summon him!
