Saber Interactive’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is roughly five weeks away, and the team is currently working on optimization and bug fixes. Unfortunately, this means it won’t have a public online beta before the game’s launch.
A new Steam Community post clarified that the previously-announced beta “would take the development teams away from preparing for the full launch, and our priority is to ensure the best possible experience at release.” It acknowledged the disappointment among fans and promised a limited Porphyr Shield Bolt Pistol skin for those who registered before June 28th.
On the bright side, the title will feature dedicated servers when it launches. Supported regions include North America, Latin America, Oceania, Asia and Europe, which should be ideal for those playing in co-op and checking out PvP via Eternal War.
Launching on September 9th, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Its campaign is touted to last approximately 12 hours, while Operations, the optional co-op mode, features six maps. Check out the latest overview trailer for more details.
