The physical Deluxe Edition of the epic RPG Baldur's Gate 3 has hit another production snag in North America. Developer and publisher Larian Studios cite «certain processes specifically set by production companies when manufacturing the PS5 discs» as the culprit, noting that approvals in that region are taking longer than expected.
Larian posted the update on Twitter, apologising for the inconvenience and outlining how long it expects the delay to take. North American customers were advised that pre-ordered PS5 copies would be ready in 14 (presumably business) days, followed by another 10 days to deliver directly to customers.
At the start of May, Larian first advised that orders for North American audiences would be delayed as those destined for other regions began to ship out. Here's hoping this spanner in the works is resolved smoothly and the precious collectables within reach their recipient's eager hands without further issue.

To think players could avoid this issue just by buying it from the PSN store.
I wanted to get this alongside my steam version, but the shipping costs are not acceptable.
@DennisReynolds no thanks, either physical
