Honkai Star Rail 2.3 Leaks: New Character Details Point At Difficult Choice
New character details in 2.3 have allegedly been leaked and, based on what has been shown so far, players may end up facing a difficult choice when it comes to spending their Stellar Jade in the next patch. Version 2.3 is still a few weeks away, as the popular turn-based RPG by HoYoverse is just entering Version 2.2, a patch that ends the main Penacony storyline. Robin and Boothill are also being added as new playable characters in 2.2, widening the possible roster of heroes to use in combat.

Even with new characters yet to be introduced, some attention is focusing on the already confirmed playable heroes of Version 2.3, Jade and Firefly. Jade has subtly appeared in cutscenes related to Aventurine, while Firefly plays an important role in the Penacony storyline, as she is actually the person within the robot suit known as Sam. Now, new leaks about their animations have been shared. One of Jade’s animations was leaked by Dim and posted on Reddit, while one of Firefly’s animations in 2.3 was obtained by Firefly Leaks and also shared on Reddit.
Jade’s leaked animation features the already confirmed 5-star character stepping on a target. The animation is quite short, which implies it is most likely from her Skill or a follow-up attack ability. As Jade is a 5-star unit, this leaked animation is most likely not her Ultimate, which tends to be more elaborate on characters of such a rating. Firefly’s leaked animation, on the other hand, seems to be much longer. The video shows her in Sam’s suit flying around, slashing with her suit’s blades, and ending with a posing animation in.
