The second game in the esteemed franchise may not get its dues when compared to the likes of the more modern titles, but one massive group of fans wants to change that by bringing their remake to the masses. Announced over five years ago, the incredibly ambitious intends to fully recreate the classic isometric RPG as a first-person shooter with the help of 's robust modding toolkit. That may already be an exciting prospect, but the scale of the project is seemingly much larger than many fans originally expected.
Speaking to Game Rant, leader Damion Daponte confirmed that the remake has around 100 developers working on it, reassuring those who have been following its production that progress is moving ahead steadily as the team shares more updates on their work. The remake has grown so massive that Daponte is even considering launching it on Steam, noting that Valve's storefront is "" Whether or not Bethesda will allow that remains to be seen but it's no doubt an exciting pitch.
