MultiVersus fans have been desperately awaiting the return of the game ever since it was taken down from storefronts following its open beta period. It seemed as though an imminent reveal was on the cards earlier this week, after the official MultiVersus Twitter account spurred back into life for a "mic check", but with the weekend approaching and fans getting more and more irritated with each passing day, developer Player First has finally lifted the lid on when we'll see the re-reveal.
This news also came from the MultiVersus Twitter account, in a new post that said the mic check from earlier this week was a "resounding success", and that the team is calling on director Tony Huynh to "set Monday morning at 6am PT". While it's a tweet that's pretty light on details, it does pretty much confirm that MultiVersus will finally be re-revealed next Monday at 6am PT, or 2pm for all you Brits out there.
MultiVersus' re-reveal has certainly been a long time coming, having been removed from storefronts and taken offline last year, with the developers planning to stuff the game with improvements and new content in the meantime. It was a big blow to a lot of players that enjoyed the game, especially those that had already paid money to access certain cosmetics and characters, but the wait is almost over to see when we'll finally be able to play again.
Now we can all start speculating as to what exactly developer Player First has been cooking during almost a year on the sidelines. Many seem to think that we'll be getting at least one new character, with Daffy Duck leading the popularity vote, though it seems much more likely that characters like The Joker and the Powerfpuff Girls will be added before then, given that files for both of these characters were found in the game before the shutdown.
Then again, we know that plans change almost constantly in game development, and a MultiVersus developer did tease the potential addition of a character that's "constantly angry". Daffy
