Fortnite Creators Face Demonetization or Suspension for Certain Behaviors
Epic Games has made it clear that it will not allow scams and trickery in Fortnite, threatening to remove any islands and accounts that continue to engage in this type of behavior. Fortnite started off with Save the World and the classic Battle Royale game mode, but as time went on and as the game grew in terms of popularity, other game modes — Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival — were introduced. The game's Creative Mode, which eventually evolved and became UENF or Creative 2.0, has been incredibly well received.
Creative Mode evolved from Playground mode, which was a sandbox version of the Battle Royale map. Gamers could edit key mechanics, such as fall damage and friendly fire, and battle it out with their friends to put their skills to the test and freely explore the map to improve their knowledge. Eventually, players wanted to create and share their own islands, and this led to the release of Creative, one of the most popular Fortnite game modes.
Fortnite receives patches every two weeks or so, and from time to time, there are major updates that add significant content to the game — not only Battle Royale but the other game modes as well. This makes it possible for every mode to gradually grow and gives players access to a wider range of features and possibilities. As more players became interested in UEFN and making their Creative Mode islands in Fortnite, it became clear that not every gamer is as honest as they should be. According to Epic Games, some players trick others into liking or favoriting their islands by offering fake rewards, which is a violation of the rules of good conduct and will have more serious consequences from now on.
Some creators promise fake rewards so they could get players to like or favorite their islands to increase engagement and therefore receive more from Epic's monetization program.
