The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has revealed its next Victim character, Virginia, who is voiced by a popular horror actress. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre's next addition does not have an exact release date yet, but publisher Gun Interactive shared plenty of details about the character.
Chain Saw Massacre's last major update was in early February and introduced over a hundred bug fixes, as well as various changes to certain features like in-game reporting and the pre-game lobby. Additionally, Russian and Brazilian-Portuguese language options are now officially supported. The update's gameplay changes included adjustments to Victim executions, Nancy's Poison Claws ability, and Danny's Tamper capabilities. As Texas Chain Saw Massacre's next update approaches, it has unveiled its next major addition.
Virginia is voiced and inspired by actress Barbara Crampton, who fans might recognize from horror films like From Beyond, You're Next, and Re-Animator. Gun Interactive's press release covering the new character is titled Meet Virginia, not to be confused with artist Train's song, and touches on the character's most important aspects. Virginia's nursing background allows her to see Sissy's flower powder, which she can use to create throwable concoctions. These items create a blue cloud on impact and temporarily blind any Family members caught in the vicinity. Her special ability is Boon, which contaminates blood buckets. Family members who use contaminated buckets become disoriented for a short amount of time.
Similar to other Texas Chain Saw Massacre Victims, Virginia comes with her own backstory as well. She became a grief-stricken mother after the disappearance of her son, Jesse, and devoted her life to finding him until she was caught in the Family's web, leading to her appearance in the game. She apparently talks to anyone she can about her lost son, which may be the theme of many of her voice lines. Texas Chain Saw Massacre also teased a new map in one of the screenshots
