The discrepancy in the pricing of Pokemon GO's Rocket Box has infuriated fans, who are now deciding against purchasing it. The Rocket Box has been a point of contention in the past, and it seems like this new iteration also hasn't gone down well in the Pokemon GO community.
While the past few weeks have been quite eventful for Pokemon GO fans with a series of events taking place, some of them have been quite controversial. In a new post on the Pokemon GO subreddit, user Vivvnak expresses their disappointment towards the pricing of the Rocket Box available in-game. As per a blog post on the official Pokemon GO website, the Rocket Box was slated to be priced at 300 Pokecoins, but it seems like upon release, the price was increased to 315 Pokecoins. While Niantic has now updated its website to reflect the new price, the uncalled increase in price has once again upset players. This is not the only item fans have lately expressed their concerns about, as the contents of Pokemon GO's Expert and Veteran boxes were heavily criticized as well.
While one might wonder what warranted a mere 15 Pokecoin increase in price, the community seems to have an interesting take on it. Apparently, Niantic always prices these items in a way that players are short of a few Pokecoins, compelling them to purchase the in-game currency. Considering that players get a maximum of 50 Pokecoins per day by defending gyms inPokemon GO, many think that the price of the Rocket Box not being a multiple of 50 will ensure that more players don't have
