A Honkai: Star Rail leak is teasing the potential in-game appearance of rumored upcoming character Sam, expected to be introduced to the game in a future update. The recent launch of the HoYoverse sci-fi RPG's Version 2.0 update has brought plenty of new content to the game, aside from the debut of Penacony. Version 2.0 introduces three new playable characters to Honkai: Star Rail with Black Swan, Sparkle, and Misha coming alongside new areas to explore and new puzzle-solving mechanics. A new leak could now potentially be teasing rumored character Sam's addition to the game.
Sam saw his long-awaited first official appearance during the main story of Honkai: Star Rail's Version 2.0 as a member of the Stellaron Hunters. Before his in-game debut, Sam had been heavily teased through the story of Star Rail's pre-existing Stellaron Hunters with Sam and Kafka first recruiting Blade to the group. He was also heavily involved in popular character Silver Wolf's addition to the antagonistic organization, teased through her Character Stories. Now, a new leak is giving a closer view at how Sam may look as a playable character.
A recent leak shared to the Chinese Baidu Tieba forums gives a closer look at the in-game model for rumored character Sam. The short clip shows Sam's metal suit of armor moving and shifting into different positions, changing his appearance into more battle-ready stances. The second video also showcases parts of Sam's mask moving, revealing the glowing blue visor underneath and the mechanical movements inside his chest armor. Sam's release date within Honkai: Star Rail has not been confirmed, though current rumors suggest he may arrive in Version 2.2.
Sam serves as just one of several characters rumored to be joining Honkai: Star Rail's roster throughout the Penacony cycle. HoYoverse has directly introduced several of these characters through its Special Program broadcasts and promotional material, teasing upcoming cast members like Sunday and Robin. Leaks
