GSC Game World has announced that its open-world shooter series,S.T.A.L.K.E.R., is getting a release on PS4 and Xbox One. The trilogy of games, now titled S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy, will be available on consoles for the first time. The trilogy is available as a bundle for $39.99, while individual titles are available for $19.99 each.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy will feature three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. titles, namely Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat. Since this is the first time all three titles will be available on consoles, the games have seen optimisation for play on consoles, including a new UI and control scheme, as well as refined visuals.
The trilogy is also slated to get mod support down the line through future updates through mod.io. This will allow both PS4 and Xbox One players to access what is widely considered to be one of the best things about the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. titles, the user-made mods.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy will also get an update to bring current-gen compatibility, allowing the three games to utilise the more advanced hardware on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
