Persona 3 Reload is a fantastic remake of one of the best JRPGs you can find right now, but some would argue that it isn't definitive. Even though the game has been out for a month, and we've had several claims from prominent Sega and Persona insider Midori that she's not being added, there were some that still had a sliver of hope left that Persona 3 Portable female protagonist Kotone (better known as FeMC) would be added as DLC in the future.
It was always going to take an official announcement of some kind to finally dash those hopes, and that's exactly what's happened with the recent reveal of the Persona 3 Reload: Expansion Pass. Announced during Xbox's recent Partner Preview showcase, three waves of DLC are coming to Persona 3 Reload, culminating in the release of Episode Aigis this September, a remake of the original Persona 3's The Answer story expansion.
Waves one and two will include neat little additions such as new music and outfits, but nowhere in this announcement was possible Kotone/FeMC mentioned, and those that were still holding out hope for her future addition aren't taking it well. You have a mixture of reactions on social media from Persona fans, with one group excited about a remake of The Answer being in development, and the other absolutely reeling that this basically confirms Kotone isn't coming.
If you're now sitting there thinking "Atlus didn't say this was all the DLC coming, she might be added in the future", I've got bad news for you on that front as well. Previously mentioned insider Midori, who leaked the existence of a remake of The Answer in the first place, followed up Atlus' official announcement saying that this Expansion Pass is all the DLC currently planned for Persona 3 Reload.
