A talented Pokemon fan recently designed unique Mega Evolutions for Delphox, Flygon, Chandelure, Shedinja, Jynx, Mimikyu, and Goodra. The Pokemon community is known for creating amazing fan art, and these new designs are an example of how good these community-made pieces of artwork can be.
Pokemon has a long history with Mega Evolutions, which first appeared in the sixth generation of the franchise and were featured again in Gen 7 and some spin-off games. In short, Mega Evolutions are temporary transformations that give a Pokemon new visuals and improved stats. Not all creatures have them, however, and only 48 Mega Evolutions exist at the moment.

All the designs looked impressive, with Imozartt87 essentially drawing “higher level” versions of most Pokemon. For example, Mega Delphox doubles down on the witch visual and gains a staff, while Chandelure becomes an even bigger and more menacing candlestick. Flygon and Jynx look somewhat different from their original forms, as they gain several new details like goggles or a tiara, but they still retain the same overall design. There are also Mega Evolutions that really change the character’s design, as Shedinja gains a whole shadow creature below it, Mimikyu sort of invokes a ghost, and Goodra becomes a snail. Overall, these art pieces were widely loved by the community, and the post managed to gain over 1,700 upvotes.
Curiously, the idea of a Mega Goodra seems to be somewhat popular right now. A few days ago, another Pokemon fan designed a Mega Evolution for Goodra. This version does not turn the Dragon-type monster into a snail, though, but gives the creature the ability to melt into water.
Last year, another person also decided to give Delphox a Mega Evolution. The fan art of Mega Delphox was somewhat similar to the one created by Imozartt87, as it also doubled down on the creature’s magical
