BioWare Is Working An Unannounced Game, According To Job Listing

BioWare might have more than Dragon Age: Dreadwolf and the next Mass Effect game in the works, as a job listing refers to "2-3 project teams". Right now, the studio only has two ongoing projects that we know about, with the third perhaps being another unannounced game.

The job listing, which was first spotted by Game Rant, is for a temporary development manager. As part of the job, the manager would have to "coordinate across 2-3 diverse project teams", suggesting that there's an announced project alongside Dreadwolf and the Mass Effect sequel.

BioWare handed development of its ongoing MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic, over to another studio in 2023, so it's unlikely that this is the third project team being referred to here. If it's not another game, then it's also possible that this team is working on something less consumer-facing, like an engine, or providing support work for those who are working on the games.

However, it's very possible that this is another game, albeit one that's either much smaller in scale or in the very early stages of development. This is because most BioWare devs are likely working on Dreadwolf right now, ahead of its more in-depth reveal this summer. After that, we already know we're getting another Mass Effect game, although we haven't seen much of this at all.

Last year, BioWare laid off 50 Mass Effect and Dragon Age developers , including a writer from the first two Baldur's Gate games .

So, what could it be? There have been rumours floating that a remake of Dragon Age: Origins is on the cards, but these came from an anonymous source that we can't verify. It would make sense though, since the first three Mass Effect games got the remaster treatment with the Legendary Edition. By the time Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is with us, it would have been over a decade since Inquisition launched, and more than 15 years since Origins debuted. With this in mind, a remake or remaster of the first game could be great for new fans who are put off by
