Lego has been rolling out Star Wars sets at a faster rate than usual so far in 2024 to celebrate 25 years of turning locations, characters, and vehicles from a galaxy far, far away into Minifigures and sets. New R2-D2 and Millennium Falcon sets are already available, and a TIE Interceptor set will be released later this week ahead of Star Wars Day. To further mark 25 years of working with Star Wars, Lego has put together a video featuring characters and elements from throughout the series, including some who haven't been turned into Lego yet.
Among the inclusions that can't be found in Lego sets yet but make an appearance in the video is Star Wars Jedi's Cal Kestis. As Saw Gerrera and Ahsoka's Ezra are being overwhelmed by Storm Troopers, the two look down to find BD-1 between them - that's right, a BD-1 Minifugure was teased too. The camera then zooms out to show Kestis nailing a superhero landing, lightsaber in hand so he can help heroes from other corners of the Lego Star Wars universe fight off the Empire.
Lego has crammed as much as it possibly can into the three-minute video, so Kestis's appearance was brief. The Fallen Order protagonist's Minifigure does make another appearance at the end of the celebratory montage, standing alongside Lego recreations of characters from throughout Star Wars history for a Grogu-taken selfie. Kestis and BD are only a small part of the wealth of stuff included in the video, and multiple viewings will almost certainly unearth all sorts of Easter eggs.
As for what this means in terms of Kestis getting a Minifigure, and perhaps even a Lego set of his own, remains unconfirmed. Just because he and BD were shown in Lego form doesn't mean physical versions are definitely coming. It does make what was already a likely thing even more likely to happen, though. A Kestis Minifigure appearing in the video above comes after a rumor a few months ago that Lego is working on a new Death Star set for the 25th anniversary of its first Star
