In the latest War Within Alpha build, a new «Story» difficulty has been added to the Nerub'ar Palace raid!
Neru'bar Palace is the first raid of The War Within. On the War Within Alpha, Nerub'ar Palace has a brand new difficulty called «Story», very similar to other difficulties like Normal, Heroic and Mythic.
Here's what we know about the Story difficulty from datamining:
Back in Cataclysm, LFR was originally made to allow more players to experience the raid content and story of the raids. This may be the next iteration of allowing more players to directly access story content and the environments of raid without needing to join a large raid group, but we'll have to see it in game before.
Alternatively, we know that out Blizzard plans to add dungeon requirements to the Main Story Quest in War Within, and allow players to use a follower dungeon for players who don't want to group with others. In an interview with LeystTV, they are planning to bring players into the initial raid zone for a story experience, and this could be representing that.
