The Kingdom Hearts series of JRPGs is out now on Steam… Square Enix announced plans to release Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC back in May.
The announcement was made alongside the release of a nearly five minute trailer that includes a re-recording of Kingdom Hearts’ iconic theme, Simple and Clean, by Hikaru Utada.
Besides introducing the re-recording of the series theme, the trailer does a great job of unraveling the series’ convoluted lore and provides players with a great roadmap for the order in which the games should be played to get the best understanding of the series’ story.
The Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece bundle includes all three game, offering players a convenient way to nab the entire series in one go. Players who purchase Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC will receive an exclusive ‘Dead of Night’ keyblade color themed to Steam’s blue and grey logo.
Despite the news, the Kingdom Hearts series has actually been available on PC for years now, but you’d have to have purchased it on the Epic Games Store to access it. Considering the popularity of EGS, we wouldn’t blame you for being surprised.
